There are some great opportunities for angling in the Ashfield area and beyond. A group for adults and young anglers, Ashfield Angling Club has a venue at Cauldwell Dam, in Sutton in Ashfield.
This is one of Ashfield's oldest venues and has a pear-shaped pond of around two and half acres with fish including bream, perch, and carp. There is parking available and facilities at the water for disabled anglers.
Ashfield Angling Club was created in 1988 by a group of anglers from Kirkby in Ashfield, and has grown significantly over the years heading further afield across Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire.
