Some images in the News and Events sections have text in the image itself. It is a known issue, and we are working on replacing them.
We are applying additional detail in text alternatives to images in this case while we work through existing images.
All non-accessible images on the site are currently being looked at and replaced, and News and Events posts are only kept for the year we are in – any existing images that do not meet accessibility requirements will either be removed in January 2026 or are of some retentional importance and will be replaced by March 2026.
The 'Discover Ashfield' dropdown menu has a known framework issue that prevents the dropdown menu being dismissed without moving the pointer focus. As this issue requires significant work to amend, it has been scheduled to be part of the site's major works with start in April 2026.
