This Nottinghamshire village has the beautiful Brierley Forest Park, which is a wonderful place for walking, cycling, and having a picnic. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs, a golf club, a garden centre, and green spaces in the area. 
The history
The village once had several coal mines and is famous for the CWS Hosiery factory that opened in 1907 in North Street. 

How to get there
By car: Exit at junction 28 of the M1 and take the A38 exit. Follow Alfreton Rd/A38 and Common Rd/B6027 to Huthwaite.
By train: Sutton Parkway station (3.2 miles).
