There is plenty to visit in this village including Tibshelf Ponds, an ex-colliery site, where visitors can go angling at the two fishing ponds. Tibshelf Park has a playground and open space ideal for a walk or picnic, and the High Street is a wonderful place to stop off for a beverage while in the area.
How to get there
By car: Exit at junction 28 on the M1, and take the A38 exit to Mansfield/A615/Matlock. Continue on Alfreton Road/A38, and take the B6406 and B6026 to High Street/B6014 in Tibshelf.
By train: Alfreton train station (4.7 miles) or Sutton Parkway (5.7 miles).
